So what is your New Years Resolution??
The year is drawing to a close and many of us have seen both highs and lows in this particular year.
With the New Year just around the corner we find ourselves once again looking forward to another eventful year peeking around the corner. In South Africa we look forward to hosting the Confederate Cup, all in preparation for the all too close Soccer World Cup in 2010. All over Cape Town we see the preparations for these events. The stadiums which will play host is rapidly taking shape, that familiar buzz of progress can be felt in the air.
Then there is the ever daunting task of making a list of New Years Resolutions. Every year we plan this list to that moments fancy and few times it seems to last longer then the few months in the coming year. But why not add something more than just the normal everyday “wish” to this list.
So what is your New Years resolution?
Why not spoil yourself with a new resolution? Take a break from this crazy world of today.
At the Guest house we have already made our New Years resolution, and believe it or not, this one is centered on YOU, our guests.
In the coming year we are ready to meet and exceed your expectations!
See you in the New Year!

Secret to Success??
What makes one place more successful than another??
Is it the location that attracts more people? The service?
Even in the same street or area there seems to be an endless battle for superiority.
So what differentiates one place from another?
Is it having something that the others don’t?
Is it all of the above?
So what are the ingredients of success?
According to Hotel Management studies, one of the main objectives of a business is to ensure return guests...
In my opinion it is not only the repeated business of clients, but the returning of a satisfied client. Who wants to relive that atmosphere he experienced when coming to Olaf's Guest House for the first time.
They want the same quality and leisure they had before, and we meet and exceed their expectations every time.
We try to make every traveler feel at home in our cozy house. That is one of the reasons we can say we have accomplished one of the main objectives of business, we have return guests. But not only do they return, they also recommend us to so many of their own acquaintances, and those in turn recommend us to other travelers.
Maybe success of your business is based on what you have that others don't, but maybe , just maybe it is based on what you do that other do not...
Come join us and find out what is our success story, then make up your own mind if we have followed the recipe correctly.

New Blog for Olaf's Guest House
Take some time off to read about a true holiday 'home away from home'. Let your mind wander, as you take a tour of this guesthouse.
As you arrive at the fairy style gate, just off Main road Sea Point, you find a secluded spot where your troubles are left at the gate.
You enter a courtyard that would be associated with a private resort and makes you feel far away from the traffic and hustle of the city.A quaint 9 bedroom house looms in front of you, with doors swung open to welcome all weary travellers.
The house is tastefully decorated in a perfect balance of both European style and African style prints. The rooms each decorated differently host the names of some of Cape Towns natural wonders. Places such as Chapman's Peak, Table Bay and Hout Bay to name a few.
When settled in one can enjoy a roaring fire in the lounge in winter or relax by the pool in summer. They can walk down to the beach, or up Main road for dinner at any of the numerous restaurants found there. Every morning you can enjoy our superb breakfast, setting the mood for the rest of the day.
For the more adventurous traveller, talk to one of the staff and they will gladly organise a tour or outing, be it shark cage diving or a sight seeing tour of the city and the surrounding area. No matter what your taste, we can accommodate.
You might ask "Why a guesthouse in town? Why not a hotel further out of the city?'
The answer is easy: We add a personal touch to everything we do. Here you get away from being person so-and-so in room 203, but a guest in our house.
Let this small place make a big impression on you!
